The Press Conference of 2013 The Temple of Earth, Longtan Spring Festival Cultural Temple Fair Held

  On the afternoon of January 16, the press conference of the 28th The Temple-of- Earth Spring Festival cultural temple fair and 30th Longtan Spring Festival cultural temple fair was held in the Gardens Bureau of Dongcheng District. The conference was chaired by Wu Di, the deputy publicity minister and the director of News Center. Chen Xiao-Mei, the party secretary of the Gardens Bureau reported The Temple-of- Earth Longtan temple fair preparations. Liang Chengcai, the director of the Bureau, Wang Disheng, the director of Gardens Management Center, together with the people in charge of The Temple-of- Earth, Longtan temple fair attended the meeting. Some works listed in the non-material cultural heritage were on display there, such as Clay Figurine Zhang, monkeys and Fengxiang clay.
  Nearly 40 reporters coming from more than 20 media such as Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, China Central Television, Central People's Broadcasting Station, Beijing Television, Beijing Daily, Beijing Evening News, Beijing Youth Daily, attended the press conference.
  The 28th The Temple-of- Earth Spring Festival cultural temple fair and 30th Longtan Spring Festival cultural temple fair will be held at the same time, from February 9, 2013 (Lunar December 29 19), to February 16 (the seventh day in the first lunar month), lasting eight days. The main venue is located in Ditan Park. As the two of the capital’s most important and most popular cultural temple fairs, the temple fairs will be in accordance with the requirements of the district government, highlighting cultural characteristics, making sure the safe and orderly, and improving service levels. On the basis of early careful preparation, two temple fairs will further give a flower show, the display of non-material cultural heritage and organize nearly 800 performances of more than 100 activities such as folk art and acrobatics sports to fully demonstrate the gains in non-heritage protection and cultural development.
